Angus is one of Joe’s best friends. He lives on the poor side of the reservation with his aunt, Star Morrissey. His mother died when he was very young. He is sometimes beaten by his stepfather, Elwin, whose cigarettes he occasionally steals. 

Of the four boys, Angus is the most religious, frequently going to confession at Father Travis Wozniak.
